A little bit at a time adds up! (just the tip)

Writer: EKristEKrist

What?

Dividend-paying stocks provide a way for investors to get paid during rocky market periods. It IS a rocky period. That is why I'm exploring the world of dividends.

Why? I am just getting into investing, and I don't have thousands or even hundreds of dollars to dump into the stock market. But the truth is that little bits add up to a larger whole. By buying fractional shares, you can invest as little as a dollar at a time in a quality company that may pay dividends. Your invested dollars will add up quickly.

I was curious whether or not fractional shares paid out dividends. Well, they do. A shareholder is entitled to receive dividends in proportion to the fractional shares owned.

How?

Webull, Robinhood, and others are looking toward fractional shares purchasing in the future, but Public can do this now! There is a link to Public on my free-links-page. I really like there app look and feel, and they have pretty good analysis. I highly recommend them.

What do I invest in?

I cannot tell you how to raise your children, and I cannot tell you where to put your money. Personally, I'm looking at LCRX right now. I understand that a dividend between 4 and 6 is a good dividend. Also, right now, the stock is undervalued according to Yahoo finance. I happen to think that this is a great reliable company, and I'm excited to own a little bit of them.

What now?

Do some research, find a great company with a good dividend between 4-6 percent. If you choose to purchase fractional stock, I recommend Public. For me, I'm going to do some investigating, and invest a little at a time. Learn and Earn!
